Rare disease public biotech, European product launch
Case study
The overview
A rare disease biopharmaceutical company in the US partnered with us to build their medical affairs team in Europe ready for a product launch
The challenge
Our partner had been actively interviewing candidates for their open vacancies for over 6 months with no success. This meant that multiple candidates had already been approached for these positions but were not interested. Therefore, our challenge was to manage and promote their employer brand within the professional community.
The solution
We ran an exclusive RPO (recruitment process outsourcing) style model to hire staff in 7 European territories. We offered two dedicated points of contact and embedded them into the organization to give them greater access and visibility to decision makers, allowing them to act as brand ambassadors and continuously promote our partner鈥檚 message in the market. We mobilised local language speakers, by utilising our sourcing teams throughout Europe, ensuring that candidates were spoken to in their own language. This created a smoother experience for the candidates and for our partner.
We worked to educate the organization on recruitment best practice, standardizing the interview process internally to ensure global alignment, creating an education piece around unique challenges in each location, and managing expectations accordingly.
The outcome
We successfully worked to agreed deadlines and the global alignment led to rapid hires from introduction to offer, with 14 in total being placed in their medical affairs team.
Following this success, we have now been awarded new European multi-hire projects.
We have successfully placed candidates within the organization鈥檚 regulatory affairs, commercial, and clinical divisions, and now also support them with their operations in North America.
